Mark Fiorenzo is an iconographer based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is a formally-trained artist who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After working for years as an artist and professional photographer, he felt a calling to Orthodox Christian iconography.
Over the past several years, he has been following this path through practice, workshops and mentorship. This journey has deepened his understanding of the Orthodox Christian tradition of iconography, and he strives to honor it in his work.
He approaches iconography prayerfully, trying to make sure that each piece adheres to the accepted Orthodox prototypes. His icons are crafted using quality materials, reflecting the dedication and reverence he has for this sacred art form. It is his hope that his work inspires a deeper connection to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, God.
